Jon Snow's Story...
Jon Snow is approximately 1 year old Siberian Husky. He is well behaved indoors, crate trained. He walks well on a leash, but must always be leashed. He bolts if not leashed. Huskies are "born to run." Although he has not tried to jump out fence, we are very careful to not leave him outside long enough for him to get bored or restless.
He will do well in a house with other dogs--this is a must. Huskies belong in a pack and are prone to anxiety if they are only-pets. He does all right with cats, but should be monitored.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jon Snow, a Houston Siberian Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky for sale in Houston, or seeking a Siberian Husky dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky breeders who help with Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
