Bailey's Story...
Beat it down to Friendship for sweet Bailey. He's a 7 year old Hound mix that was surrendered to Friendship because his family was moving. Bailey is a gentle fellow but has only lived with adults his entire life. It's best if there are kids in the family, they're older. Bailey enjoyed playing at a dog park and was friendly with all the dogs. He tolerates cats but plays rough with them. Bailey knows some commands and would love a fenced in yard to play his favorite sport, ball. Be aware, he'll eat just about anything. Stop by soon. Bailey is definitely worth a look.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bailey, a Elyria Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
