"Joey"'s Story...
My name is Joey! Are you looking for a great a sweet best friend? walking or hiking partner? I am your guy! I am a male, 20 pound, neutered, 2-year old Boston Terrier mix. I love to play and interact with dogs, adults and respectful children over 12 yrs of age. Small over active children scare me so an all adult home is preffered.
My adoption fee is $525 which includes Neuter, rabies, microchip 30 days free Pet Insurance and microchip. I am happy dog that is very obedient. I have a sweet disposition and I am full of energy. I love to be with my people and am very easy going. I play with other dogs, that are friendly. I do need to go to a home with another dog. Prefer a equally matched size dog that enjoys to play. I also respect dogs that do not want to play. Cats are ok with me.
My perfect home would be with a person or person (s) that is semi active and loves to spend time with me. If you have a fenced yard and another doggy, I would be in seventh heaven with a dog that is playful. I will keep you entertained with my silliness for hours. I have been through basic training and know basic commands – sit and down and I am crate trained and almost potty-trained, yes, I am SMART boy! I will require a home where I am not alone for more than 4 hours at a time without a game plan to keep us both happy and routine– A dog walker for potty breaks would work.
The adoption fee includes: neuter, microchip, current vaccines (DA2PP, rabies, bordatella) plus de-worming, flea treatment, and heart worm testing. The fee also supports costs for various necessary vet care including special surgeries, quality grain free food, general supplies, grooming, boarding, health certificate and transport cost from California to Seattle. We also include a 15 minute training consultation with a certified behaviorist trainer and 30-day pet insurance. All dogs are home fostered in the Seattle area by volunteers.
6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the state of California where pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we are a "save it forward" so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs.
6dogrees Rescue limits adoptions to residents of Washington State

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Boston Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
