Jack's Story...
My name is Jack and I’m a 3 ½ year old, 11 pound Chihuahua/Corgi mix. I was found as a stray and ended up at a shelter for 2 months. I was very scared there. Now I’m living with a foster family. My foster mom calls me her little buddy because I follow her everywhere.
I am house trained, dog door trained, and a pretty happy guy. There are 3 dogs and 2 cats at my foster home and I get along with all of them. My favorite activity is to nap on a lap with all 4 feet sticking up in the air. I also love to chase a laser light. I am a little slow to warm up to men, but I will reward your patience with love and devotion.
When it’s time to sit down and relax I’ll be in the best seat in the house, your lap. At night I love to snuggle in close beside you in bed.
I want a forever family. I’m micro-chipped, neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on shots. The adoption application can be completed at www.furfunrescue.org. For more information about Jack please contact Rox at Rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack, a Lisbon Corgi/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi/Chihuahua for sale in Lisbon, or seeking a Corgi/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Lisbon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lisbon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lisbon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi/Chihuahua breeders who help with Corgi/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lisbon paves the way for another one to be saved.
