Killian's Story...
This beautiful little boy is Killian, a black and white kitten that is hoping that his charm and good looks will get him into a great home right away. Killian is only 3 months old and came to us with his littermates when the family was found with their mom as strays. Their mom took good care of the babies and once they were big and strong enough to be on their own, we spayed mom and released her since she was feral. Her kittens are thankfully, not feral, and are really loving all of the friends that they're making. Killian is the most shy of the group, but he is so incredibly sweet and lovable once he gets to know you. All it takes is a little attention and kindness for Killian to realize that you're ok, then he'll love you forever. He is spunky and playful, but more easy going than his sisters. He gets along great with other cats and would love to cuddle with you and spend the rest of his life as a beloved member of your family. File#24952 6/20/15

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Killian, a Forked River Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
