My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Date of birth: 3/4/2015

This adorable little girl is ESCADA. She is one of the amazing success stories that comes from fostering homeless animals. ESCADA and her two sisters (Pucci and Prada) were brought into a local shelter without a mom when they were just a day old. These kittens were slated to be euthanized unless a rescue stepped up immediately to take them. Newborn kittens can only go a few hours without eating and require extensive care when they do not have a mother to take care of them. On the same day, on the other side of town, Furry Friends had a mama cat, named Chanel, that had given birth to 4 premature kittens that did not survive. ESCADA and her siblings needed a mom, and Chanel needed babies to care for. The shelter volunteer bottle fed the babies until she could meet the Furry Friends volunteer the next morning to take the 3 newborn kittens. There is always a risk introducing orphan kittens to a mama cat. However, in this case, Chanel took to the kittens immediately and began to clean and care for them just as if they were her own. Chanel needed these babies just as much as the babies needed her.

ESCADA has grown and thrived in foster care under the careful supervision of her surrogate mom, Chanel. She is now ready to find a home of her own. She is a sweet, fun kitten that has been extensively handled since birth. She gets along well with the other kittens as well as the large dog that lives in her foster home. She needs to go to a home with another animal (either cat or dog) so that she can have a playmate. Since she is so small, she also needs to go to a home with older children.

For further information please contact us at www.furryfriendsanimalrescue.org/contact-us or call 214-676-2434. Anyone interested in our cats will be required to fill out an adoption application. All our cats will be spayed or neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations. We do ask for a $140 adoption donation.
