Jason's Story...
NAME: Jason
BREED: Lab./Formosan mountain dog mix
COLOR: Black/Brown
AGE: 2 years
WEIGHT: 35 Lbs

Jason is a smart and friendly boy! He gets along well with people and is gentle with children. He also enjoys playing with other dogs.

Jason is such a sweet and adorable boy. He has a mellow temperament. He may appear a little shy around strangers, but warms up in minutes once he feels comfortable. Yummy treats definitely helps. He becomes very affectionate and cuddly after bonding with people. Jason’s already mastered some basic commands, like “sit, shake hands, etc”. Jason is very stable when he’s walking on leash. He will make a great addition to any type of family, since he’s so calm and well-behaved!

Meet Jason!

Jason was born from a stray mother who has had many litters but never got a chance to raise her own pups because they were all dumped like garbage by unfriendly people after born. The stray mother lived off food scraps from a hobo who lived in an abandoned empty house.
One day, she gave birth again, this time to a litter of 8 puppies. Unfortunately, only 5 out of 8 survived when the rescuer found them. Having witnessed the poor stray mother suffered so much in the past, the kind rescuer decided to take them off the street and promised them a good life.
They were rushed to the vet for a complete check-up. They were soon nursed back to health and started to show their energetic puppy selves. Jason is one of these puppies.

Jason is dewormed and up to date on his shots. He has been waiting for his forever home for quite some time. It’s mainly because of his white paws, which were considered bad luck to many of the local superstitious people. Jason’s foster mom loves him very much; she’s cautious when choosing home for Jason so he won’t be abandoned for any ridiculous reason.
Will you open your heart to this sweetheart and give him a loving forever home?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jason, a Castro Valley Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Castro Valley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Castro Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Castro Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Castro Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Castro Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
