Taz's Story...
Hello, I’m Taz, a 9 year old boy who has had a very rough life. I weigh 50 pounds. You see, I was living in a shelter/zoo that was outdoors and didn't just have dogs & cats. In fact my best friend was in the cage next to me & he was a tiger! The place I was at closed & some volunteers took me to AGB. Though I'm 9, I was not vetted & came to AGB un-neutered, heartworm positive, with hookworms, dental tartar & with severely matted fur. I had almost given up hope of ever living in a loving home until I came to AGB. I know I don’t look like most of the golden dogs here, but my new friends said I will never have to worry about being loved & cared for again. AGB’s doctors & volunteers are taking care of all of my medical issues & giving me the love & care I need to be ready for my forever home. I told them I AM READY! They say I ride well in the car, have a sweet temperament & even though my world has been turned upside down, I seem to be taking it all in stride. If you have a place in your heart & home for a little, lost boy like me, please, please, submit your application to AGB today. I promise to be good & to love you with all my heart. I hope to meet you soon. With love from your friend, Taz Please visit me at www.adoptagoldenbirmingham.com or call 205-937-2339 or email camcowen@charter.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Taz, a BIRMINGHAM Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever for sale in BIRMINGHAM, or seeking a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in BIRMINGHAM.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BIRMINGHAM already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BIRMINGHAM breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BIRMINGHAM paves the way for another one to be saved.
