Russell's Story...
Russell is such a fine fella!! He showed up as a stray at the door of a cat-loving home who couldn’t take him in, but also couldn’t resist feeding him because, when he gets to know them, he just LOVES people. He was fostered for a couple of weeks in Forks where he charmed his foster family and proved himself to be one of the friendliest and nicest cats ever!! As soon as we had an opening, Russell came to Safe Haven, where he has made himself right at home. He was a little shy with strangers at first, but it didn’t take long for him to turn a stranger into a friend. This boy never missed a beat–head-butting, rolling over, purring and reaching his paws out for attention. Pretty, tidy, a good eater, a good buddy–what more could you ask for in a kitty companion? Call us today to meet our REMARKABLE RUSSELL!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Russell, a Port Angeles Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Port Angeles, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Port Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Port Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Port Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Port Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
