My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The name's Blossom and I am as pretty as a flower! I'm a 9-month-old spayed female Dachshund/German Pinscher mix. I weigh about 22 pounds.

If you asked me to list 3 of my best attributes I would say that I am sweet, friendly, and full of life. You really can't do better than that!

I was brought into a local high-kill shelter as a stray. From the looks of it, it didn't appear that I had been on the streets for long. My coat was soft and shiny, I was a healthy weight, and I had nice, clean, white teeth. Aside from some fleas, I was in really good shape!

It didn't take long for a volunteer at the shelter to take notice of me. In fact, I overheard her telling everyone how special I was. She was saying something about how I would be perfect for a rescue she knew of. Apparently, they felt the same way and decided that I must become a CageFree dog. So, here I am, hanging out with all of my new friends while I wait for my forever home to come along.

You're probably wondering what type of home I am looking for. At roughly 9 months old, I guess you could consider me to be a puppy still. I am energetic and inquisitive, so an active family would be ideal. I'm really looking forward to going on all kinds of adventures with my new family members. My friends have told me that there are places that dogs can go to meet up with all their canine pals and places to explore strange ocean creatures. It's amazing I've never heard of them before. Does going to a park or a beach made for dogs sound like a great day to you? If so, you should definitely contact CageFree and tell them you want to meet me as soon as possible. It's not going to be summer forever!
