Caroline's Info...

I am already spayed, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and not good with kids.

Caroline's Story...
Caroline is a gorgeous Shih Tzu - Yorkie mix of 1-2 years, weighing only about 5 pounds. Caroline is, at present, rather shy and while approachable and docile, will require someone with experience and patience to help her learn to trust and become more extroverted. Many times, it's only a matter of a few weeks and a playful, confident side emerges. Caroline hopes to find a great adopter - maybe you?

Come by Poodle Rescue of Houston any day to meet this great dog and many others - the best time to visit is between 9-4:30.
All the dogs are spayed/neutered, current on shots, and parasite / heartworm checked (and treated if positive). All dogs are trained to use a doggie door. Adoption Fees vary. Please see our website: www.poodlerescueofhouston.org for complete info on our organization and directions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Caroline, a Houston Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu for sale in Houston, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
