Susie Q's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Susie Q's Story...
Chi-weenie, 1 to 1 ½ yr old female. 8 lbs.
Super sweet and loves to cuddle and be held. Loves to lay in the sunshine outside or sleep under the covers.
Gets along well with bigger dogs, can get a little mouthy when playing. House broken and kennel trained. She walks great on a leash but will run if she gets loose.
You can pinch, poke, prod, cut her nails etc. and she doesn’t care. She does “scream” when you draw blood or try to leave her alone in a kennel. Place another dog in with her and she is fine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Susie Q, a Houston Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Houston, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
