My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Apples

8/17/15 Update: I swung by the shelter and was sad to see that Apples is still there. Apples is a little shy at first, so I think a lot of people overlook her, but she's a sweetheart and enjoys being petted if you'll reach in and say hi. She's also tiny for an adult cat, so if you're looking for an almost kitten-sized adult, she's your gal. Perfect for apartment living or larger accommodations. I wish we could let the cats mingle so that I could take a picture to compare her in size to some of other others, but she's extremely petite, especially when compared to some of the big-boned boys in the shelter! ;) Be sure to come see this girl soon. We've got a lot of adult cats in the shelter, and she's one of the longest shelter residents so time is starting to tick down for this shy little lady.

8/9/15 Update: Apples has been with us for over a month now. She’s happy, healthy and ready to go to her furever home. Now she just needs some kind person or family to give her the great home that she deserves!

7/5/15: Apples is a relatively recent addition to the shelter. Shelter staff were initially worried because she seemed to be having some health problems. However, she was such a sweet, friendly girl so they sent her to the vet to get an idea of what was going on. The good news is that she was suffering from mastitis (it looked like she was separated from her kittens very early – we don’t know what happened to them), but that will heal up soon. She also had some mouth ulcers, but she’s now on antibiotics and the vet says that as long as she is fed from a metal bowl she should be fine.

She’s a beautiful tabby who can be a little shy for just a minute or so but who really opens up quickly and is happy to be petted and rubbed.

Please come meet this sweet gal soon!
