My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Athena is a young happy female Akita who is new with us at BEAR. She was left by her owner at a crowded NYC animal control. Reason given was that the owner had allergies.
Her previous people stated that she has lived in her home with cats and small children without issue. We here at BEAR will let Athena settle in a bit and see how she does around other animals and will update our information.

So far Athena has been very sweet and submissive, she is extremely underweight so before she can leave we will do our best to put some weight on her bones :)
Athena walks on leash well and seems very affectionate and loving.
