Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bear's owner surrendered him to a kill shelter in Texas, stating he could no longer care for him. Bear was devasted. He quickly retreated to the back of his kennel run to await his fate. Little did he know that fate was about to change for the better. You see, it appeared Bear was kept outdoors, his ears were eaten away by flies due to him living in his own waste, and Bear also tested positive for heartworm. It was clear to see this boy lived a hard life. At the age of 3-4 years he had already lost his home due to no fault of his own.
Since Bear has been with our vet, he has been treated fully for heartworm, is no longer riddled with worms, and has had all of his shots updated. Our vet has nothing but praise for Bear, he has been a gentle giant with everyone he meets. It is very possible Bear can live with the right female dog, yes he is just a great boy. Bear is also very affectionate and enjoys being with his people.
