Buddy and his sister Molly were found as strays and taken to the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley. After leaving them there, the finder was afraid they were going to be killed since the shelter has a high kill rate. They are microchipped but their owner did not claim them by the time that the required 5 day hold was up. So, the finder went back and adopted them. She wanted to save their lives.
She is now reaching out to find a forever home for them. We contacted the original owner (through the microchip data) to make sure that she did not want them back. She did not hesitate.... she had no desire to have them back!
The most ideal situation would be to find them a home TOGETHER since they are bonded.
They go on daily walks and enjoy it. The finder keeps them in a dog run in her back yard. They are very loving dogs and deserve to be with someone who will let them become part of the family.
Buddy is just over 1 1/2 years old and is current on all vaccinations.
