Maximus's Story...
Birthdate: December 26, 2012. Please meet Maximus, 2 1/2 years old. Max is very affectionate and playful, and he has good manners. He gets along well with other dogs and cats, and small children, as he is very gentle. Max likes to romp in the yard and lay around with you--he excels at both! Max is well behaved and completely house trained, so he would do well in most any home. If you are interested in Maximus, please contact Hope Rescue or see him at our Saturday adoption events 11 am - 4 pm at the Sterling Heights Petco near Lakeside Mall.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maximus, a Ferndale Pomeranian/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian/Labrador Retriever for sale in Ferndale, or seeking a Pomeranian/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Ferndale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ferndale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ferndale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pomeranian/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ferndale paves the way for another one to be saved.
