My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Henry is a 6 year old retriever mix. He gets along great with both of his foster brothers. He is completely house trained and great with free roam of the house. He also sleeps through the night no problem. Henry loves to go for walks and is well behaved on the leash. He shows no signs of wanting to go after the rabbits or squirrels in the neighborhood. He has recently discovered tennis balls and has one with him a majority of the time. He is also starting to gain weight like the vet recommended. Henry would do great in a home with dogs or as an only dog. He has not been cat tested. He should also go to a home with no children.

Henry has had a very difficult life with an abusive/neglectful owner. He is on puppy food to gain weight-poor ting was nearly starved! He also is learning what it is like to be treated with love and get consistent signals that he can understand.

His foster home is working on his fear of strange men so at this time he is on hold. When he is ready to be adopted, it will be required that he continue his training and GRFR will pay for that training with the trainer of our choice. Please keep an eye on Henry's progress and consider waiting to adopt him. He will be worth the wait! He is a sweet heart and just wants to know what is expected of him.
