Brody's Story...
This is a courtesy listing for BRODY, a 3 year old, 40 lb., neutered male Heeler mix. He came to the original rescue starved and very shy about two years ago, when he was still very young. Brody has developed a food addiction because he was allowed to free feed and is now at least 10 lbs. overweight. However, his personality has blossomed into a very sweet, somewhat clingy, puddle of love! He's very good with other dogs and good with cats too. He has some anxiety when separated from all dogs. He doesn't get into the trash or on the bed without permission. Leads with two fingers. Brody is well behaved under all conditions. He is currently on heartworm and flea and tick preventative. The original rescue lost their kennels due to financial reasons, and Brody has been with his foster, Misty, for a few months. Misty has 3 of her own dogs and a very small house and yard. You may call her directly at 336-710-6984 for further information and/or to set up an appointment. to meet Brody, or email her at coldpony@hotmail.com - a small adoption donation is requested.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brody, a Harmony Blue Heeler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Blue Heeler for sale in Harmony, or seeking a Blue Heeler dog from a breeder in Harmony.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harmony already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harmony breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Blue Heeler breeders who help with Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harmony paves the way for another one to be saved.
