Ponch's Story...
This sweet boy is Ponch. He was found as a stray and never claimed. He is a wonderful dog. He looks to be a Sheltie mix and about 9 months to a year old. He currently weighs about 45 pounds and is in great health. He is neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccines. Ponch is a little shy but warms up quickly once he feels safe. He has never shown any aggression towards any other dogs or people. Ponch is located in Arkansas but we have transport that goes to the Northeast weekly to deliver our adopted doggies. For more info, please email Sandy at vshutchins@gmail.com. and thank you for considering adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ponch, a Trenton Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Trenton, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog puppy from a breeder in Trenton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Trenton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Trenton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Trenton paves the way for another one to be saved.
