My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Finnegan is a three-year-old Yellow Lab/Golden Retriever mix. Unfortunately, due to a change in a living situation, his owner is no longer able to take care of him. He’s an active boy that loves to play ball and enjoys being in the water. He gets along swimmingly with other dog and has been introduced to cats, sniffed at them and walked away. Finnegan is a good communicator and will bark or whine for the following: he needs to go outside to do his business, to let you know that his water bowl is empty or his toy is stuck behind something. He loves to cuddle with you on the couch or bed. His left ear has always had a little redness since he was a baby, so a weekly cleaning is in order. He’s been feed twice a day (in the morning and the evening with 2 ½ cups per feeding). He is crate trained and the easiest way to get him to go into the crate after a bathroom break is to give him a treat and say “c’mon let’s go” and lead him to the crate with his leash still on. He will need to be on a leash when walked or in a fence in yard. He has run away to explore and a squeaky toy, treat or stick generally lures him back to you. While he has lived in an adult household, he has been around children and done fine. Apparently, Finnegan has quite the affinity for paper products so best to keep those out of reach. He rides nicely in the car and is tolerant of loud noises (thunder, vacuum, hair dryer). He is neutered, up-to-date on his shots and microchipped.
