Haley is a beautiful senior lab/setter mix who still enjoys a good game of fetch and then to flop down for a nap. She is a very loving dog looking for her own special forever home. Haley is house trained and does well with other dogs and cats. She currently has a canine buddy, Anna, and the two love to play and then lay down next to each other and rest - it is very sweet to witness. This wonderful dog has a very sad history. Before Haley came into our organization she had lived in two previous homes. Both of these homes had 'returned' Haley to the humane society from which we rescued her. Haley suffers from a condition known as separation anxiety. This is a treatable condition and Haley is well worth the time, patience and training needed to help her.

Haley is participating in our Rush to Rescue program, so she is currently being fostered by a pair of offenders at the Rush City Correctional Facility. While there, she will be attending a training program with a certified trainer and will be working on her commands with her handlers. Please contact us to find out more about Haley and to meet this loving dog.

About Rescued Tails Animal Sanctuary

About Our Rescue Group...

Rescued Tails is a small group of volunteers who believes that every life is valuable, and that every healthy or treatable animal is worth saving. We have an affinity for those animals whose chances of being rescued from impounds or kill-shelters are minimized due to breed, age, temperament and/or color. We provide training or seek medical treatment when applicable to ensure that every one of our animals gets a chance at a new beginning.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Some of our pets live at our sanctuary in Shell Lake, WI, and others are fostered in homes in the Twin Cities, MN area. We do adoptions days at least once a month. We can make arrangements for you to meet any of our pets on an appointment basis.

Our Adoption Process...

Welcoming a pet into your home is a commitment of time, patience, money and love. You should think very carefully and do your research before adopting any animal. Rescued Tails Animal Sanctuary spays / neuters all companion animals before adoption. All animals are vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested (dogs), feline leukemia tested and microchipped. If you find an animal that you are interested in on our web site please call, or e-mail us, and we will gladly tell you more about that special animal. Our experienced volunteers will help you select a companion animal that will fit your personality and lifestyle. We want you to experience a rewarding, lifetime relationship with your new companion. If you find a furry friend you wish to adopt you will fill out an adoption application and then a home visit will be set up. At the time of adoption you will fill out an adoption contract and pay the adoption donation.
