Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Addison's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Addison's Story...
Addison just turned 2 and pulled a muscle in a training race, so was retired. With no races to her name, she decided she's rather be a pet.

She is a calm young dog who appears to do fine with cats and small dogs. She does great with other greyhounds.

I'm Addison, but my nickname is Honey. I pulled a muscle in my rear end running a practice race at TGP. It's not funny! It hurt. Okay, it's kind of funny.

I'm a flexible, chill sort of hound, so I'm okay with changing my career path with minimal notice. I think I'm going to be AWESOME as a pet. I'm really good about lying quietly on my doggie bed and occasionally playing quietly with a toy. I've enjoyed exploring the house and the yard, and find the yard an excellent place to potty. Everyone tells me I'm a good dog when I do that. Go figure. I'm having my no puppies surgery tomorrow, so I'll be ready to move into my forever home this week. Come get me!

FOSTER UPDATE:

Addison is precious. She is love with a wagging tail. For only turning two, she is very calm but with lots of curiosity. She could be the one to find that remote you didn't put away. She is not a barker. She is content when you are with her and loves to bury her head in your lap and beg for pets. If you let her, she would love to cuddle with you in bed. We do see a bit of a stubborn streak in her so you have to be firm. Example: putting on her brakes when we want to take her out.

Addison and Kasey greyhound are getting along fine. She is muzzled when Barney Cat has roam time but shows no interest in him accept what we consider normal..."Hey, who are you?" We take it slow introducing the cat to a greyhound.

Had some housebreaking issues but that has improved with very frequent let out times. She has yet to let us know she wants out. I expect a few more days and she will catch on to "pee drill." She loves food and breaks records in snarfing down her meals.

She has been crated, not happy about it but is fine in the crate. She shows no separation anxiety.
She goes to bed well and sleeps the night through. No problems with thunder. Noises don't seem to bother her. She rides well in the car, more than likely after looking around...she will just lay down.

All in all...Addison is a winner in being a dog companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Addison, a Tucson Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Tucson, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
