Tia Marie's Story...
Meet Tia Marie! She is an adorable Chihuahua puppy who was born 11/1/2014. She has been attending adoption events for several months and is always the social butterfly and star of these events, but for some odd reason has not been adopted yet. She is that special girl who has never met a stranger, whether you are talking about canines or humans. She has a very sweet and outgoing personality - yes, we would say she is bubbly and her attitude is infectious. Her foster mom, Laura, is working with her on house training and crate training. So, if you are interested in adopting Tia Marie, you must be prepared to work with Tia on completing this training. She is current on vaccinations and preventatives. She is also spayed and microchipped. Are you the perfect family for Tia Marie? If so, contact foster mom, Laura, at laura.k9s4me@gmail.com with your additional questions about Tia or to make arrangements to meet her. Tia and Laura normally attend adoption events on Saturdays from Noon to 3pm at PetSmart at 115th & Metcalf in Overland Park KS. Thanks for considering adopting a homeless animal! This bio last updated 7/12/2015.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tia Marie, a Overland Park Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
