Hi Everyone!

My name is Marigny (Mare-a-ny).

I'm so excited to meet you! Let me tell you a little bit about myself.

I am a mostly white Great Dane, who is 19 months old.

I am a spayed female.

I was surrendered because they couldn’t care for me.

I am partially blind (sees shadow) in one eye. My other eye is fine.

Boy! You should just see me run around the house and yard. Who would dare to say I can't see?

I am partially deaf (hears low tone better). I can hear high tone as long as there’s no background noise.

I require a 4 ft tall fence.

I like kids and do well with those who are 3 yrs old and up.

Due to my limited stability, I received very little training. My foster mommy and daddy decided to bring in this really nice lady named Lauren to help me. Due to Lauren’s help, I have made major improvements. I now stay with my leader in an un-fenced yard (I often check in with my leader). I now go to many places without feeling the anxiety. I now love to greet people without fear.

I used to have bad separation anxiety. Thankfully, I learned to keep myself busy with my antler, Kong, etc.

I’ve been working on my compatibility with other dogs. I really like playing and do very well with the male dogs. However, I’m not too terribly fond of female dogs. That said, because of my handicaps, I think I’d do better as an only dog. Mind you, once I’m comfortable with you and settled in for a while, I might be open to a new male canine companion.

I have a really nifty foster feline who has just decided to put up a white flag and allows me to play with him! He likes me! He likes me! YES! In general, I am good with cats but I’m also very curious about them.

So far, I learned my name and three basic commands: “Sit” , “Crate”, and “Wait”. I’m rather impatient with the “Down”. Give me a little time and I’ll soon master on the “Down” command.

I used to dislike being in a crate. I am happy to report that I now enjoy my crate because it’s my sanctuary. Just make sure it’s the ginormous crate and not crates made for dogs like German Shepherd or Golden Retriever.

They all say I'm so pretty and sweet, so I should not have any confidence problems at all! If only someone would bring me a mirror so I can see what they’re talking about….

Toys! Boy, oh boy, do I love toys!!! Love, love, love them! Squeaky ones, furry ones, tennis balls....all of them! I love to play fetch - I think that's by far my most favorite game.

I am a snuggler! I just love to snuggle with my human! I just want your love and attention! Would you like to adopt a huge snuggler like me?
