My name is Zion!

Labrador Retriever Mix Dog for adoption in Savannah, Georgia - Zion

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Zion's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Zion's Story...
Zion is a 2-3 year old Chocolate Lab tripod (he is missing his right back leg). Because we rescued him from Bryan County Animal Control, we don't know his history on why he has a missing limb. However, it is not an impediment for him! Though he is sometimes clumsy, he gets around, and even sits on command.

Adoption fees are $40 per feline and $150 per canine unless otherwise specified. Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
Zion will be current on shots, microchipped and neutered prior to adoption. As he is heartworm positive, Zion will need to be kept on monthly Heartgard (CPR will provide for the first six months) and retested each six months until he is clear.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zion, a Savannah Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Savannah, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Savannah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Savannah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Savannah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Savannah paves the way for another one to be saved.
