Rex's Story...
Meet Rex! Rex is a 4 year old, approximately 12 pound Pomeranian who would love to have a forever home of his own. This poor guy was surrendered because his guardian has cancer and was unable to care for him. Rex will do best in a home with NO small children because he is going blind and gets spooked at sudden movements around him. Rex does fine with other dogs and cats but not chickens or ducks (true story). Rex is housebroken but does not like to be crated so he'd probably be best in a home where someone is home a good part of the day - he is a homebody and a true lap dog! Rex may sound "persnickety" but he just likes what he likes....and he likes his people! This sweet boy is in foster care in West TN and will be transported once his adoption is finalized. If you'd like to adopt Rex, please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out the online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rex, a Hagerstown Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian breeders who help with Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
