MEET STABLER
STABLER is a 4 year old, black and tan Chiweenie (Dachshund/Chihuahua mix). He is neutered and weighs approximately 11 pounds. Stabler’s current human family finds themselves in very difficult circumstances and are no longer able to care for him, so they have asked Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc to help him find a forever family to love and look after.
STABLER will do well in a family with only older children (over age 12) who are sensitive to the special needs of Dachshunds/Chihuahuas and where he is the ONLY pet. He gets along well enough with other animals but prefers to be your one and only. Did we tell you he absolutely LOVES sitting in your lap? That is when you and he aren't doing something active. Yes, STABLER is a very active little dog and would make a great running or hiking partner. He is leash trained and stays near when off leash.
OUR CRITERIA (aka The Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember, these are rescues; many were surrendered because of these issues.
Can you give STABLER a happy, carefree life again? If interested, please contact Tiffany at tiffandspens@gmail.com or 206.235.7688.
