My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Curtis is a five-ish year old toy poodle who somehow found himself at the shelter. We were lucky to get him and he has proven to be a good boy! Like most poodles, he is smart, happy and loves to snuggle. He has sight issues and was diagnosed with chronic dry eye. He will require over-the-counter eye drops (4x per day) and an inexpensive steroid drop (2x per day) to help his tear production and prevent ulcers. We will carefully explain his medical needs and provide all medical records for your vet (he does take the drops with no complaint). He is not a fan of being groomed, but will stand for the professionals. Because his sight is limited, he startles easily, so we recommend children 8 and over (he does however LOVE kids). He does great with cats and dogs, but loves to hoard his toys. Curtis is a spunky boy and loves to go on walks and has even hiked with his foster family (and LOVED it--though you must keep him close so he doesn't trip). Looking for an active, happy lap dog? Curtis is your boy!

Curtis's adoption fee is $250. <p> All MVPC dogs are heart worm tested, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate trained and on a great potty training schedule.

ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25 except on a case by case basis. Because we are volunteer based and a home visit is required, we have a two hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions, though rare, may be made on a case by case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!
