Brownie's Story...
Brownie is a 6 year old Chiweenie who was surrendered to us because her owners had baby and didn't have tie for her anymore. Brownie was trained to use a litterbox with paper in it. She is a little shy at first but very loving once she warms up.

Brownie is heartworm negative, spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, and treated with flea preventative. She is crate trained and working on potty training. Her adoption fee is $300.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brownie, a Flushing Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
