My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lazslo is a gorgeous, fun and playful, six-month-old, 30-pound, male tri-color Coonhound/Border Collie-mix puppy looking for a loving guardian.

Lazslo was rescued in southern Illinois. He is living in Evanston, Illinois, with a family that has been working diligently on his training and housebreaking. He has done beautifully with his housebreaking; although he does submissively urinate upon meeting new people.

He knows the commands “sit” and “stay” and is working on “come”. He is very food-motivated and loves to learn! He also loves other dogs but plays in a rough and tumble fashion. With adults he is full of kisses and tail wags, he tends to herd, nip and stalk children.

So, with the behaviors of a herding dog, he really is an inappropriate choice for families with children, or families with visiting grandkids. He is looking for a home with adults and teenagers who will enjoy him, continue to train him and adore him.

Although is housebroken, he’s also crate-trained as he is still in his puppy chewing stage … and he LOVES to chew.

Lazslo’s adoption fee of $300 benefits rescued pets. He is extremely healthy, neutered, de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and on monthly heartworm preventative. He is currently residing in Evanston, Illinois.
