Here's what the humans have to say about me:
EDDIE
Great Dane - Male - 5 years old
Eddie is a super laid back, sweet and low-key five-year-old Blue Great Dane. Eddie enjoys cuddling with his foster dad and hanging out with his foster sister (also a Great Dane). Eddie does not live with children but has met school-age children and didn't seem to mind them at all (he was happy to hang out while they played, didn't get nervous or upset and leave, etc.). Eddie has been tested with other dogs but hasn't met any cats or very small animals (though we could try to test him before sending him to his forever family). Eddie is a giant Dane, weighing in at almost 200 lbs., and while he loves walks he's not going to be the ideal dog for someone looking for a hiking or running buddy. Eddie had two mass cell tumors removed at CSU's Veterinary Teaching Hospital and is recovering well. He may or may not have others develop in his life but at this time the doctors aren't concerned about other lethal cancers (as indicated by his bloodwork and other tests). Eddie is a happy, gentle boy who just wants someone to hang out with all the time. He is house trained and has free roam (in a separate room/area when no one is home), and he does really well walking on a 2 Hounds Design Freedom No Pull Harness. If you're looking for a mellow, happy companion, Eddie might be the dog for you. Fill out an application today!
