Ava meets new people, especially if they approach her in a bold or loud manner, or if they surprise her. She doesn't like loud noises, and can get scared when she feels cornered into a situation or that her space is being invaded upon. Once she builds a positive association with someone, she will greet them enthusiastically (even if she hasn't seen them for weeks) but she sometimes take a while to warm up if the first introduction wasn't ideal. She loves to cuddle (mostly when she's tired), and is very affectionate and playful. She is super energetic, and needs a lot of daily exercise - she is like a little energizer bunny who just won't stop! She is still very much a puppy and needs to be kept occupied and stimulated in order to stay healthy & happy. She has been teething, so giving her lots of chew toys (and redirecting any inappropriate chewing) is key to her learning her manners and growing into a well-balanced girl. She loves most other dogs, and can hold her own with mine (a 55 lb one!) no problem - they play very, very well together. However, I would say that in general she is more comfortable with smaller dogs as she can sometimes be scared of bigger ones when they approach her on walks, etc. She is working on socialization with all different types of dogs everyday, as a part of her ongoing training, and doing very well. She's made some great canine friends, and human ones too. Ava has a way of charming everyone she meets, and rightfully so - she's absolutely precious in every sense of the word, and will make someone very, very happy.
