Hallie here! I am a 6-7 year old female black lab mix girl. I'm not too big, only about 50 pounds. My foster mom has taught me lots of great things. I can sit, down, and I am getting better at that 'stay' she talks about. I am trying to learn to walk on a leash, and getting better every day. My foster mom said I haven't had what she calls a 'potty accident' since she brought me home over a month ago. My old parents left me at a high kill shelter because I wasn't wanted anymore. I LOVE to run in a big yard. I think kids are a lot of fun, and I don't mind cats. I am a little cautious of other dogs though. My foster mom has a few, and I'm a little overwhelmed, but my foster mom has a friend with a black lab mix that comes over to play though, and I like her a lot.

I am looking for a laid back house where I will have people around most of the time, I want nothing more than to hang out right by your side. I'm kind of like you humans, I like some dogs, but I'm not besties with every dog I meet. So what do you say? I am the girl for you?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hallie, a Knoxville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
