  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Brody, a 4 year old (October birthday) pit / shar-pei mix is a loving, caring, wonderful boy. He was adopted from Furkid when he was just a tiny puppy, but due to circumstances, he is looking for a new home, by no fault of his own. He is a great companion and a true friend. He is all black with the typical shar-pei spotted tongue, which is really cute when he licks his lips. He is great with most dogs and loves the company, once he is comfortable in his new surroundings. He is very playful and still acts like a puppy. He loves to play tug, chew on a bone, or run around the yard. He knows simple commands such as sit, down, give paw (actually he knows both paws!) He likes to go for walks and smell everything he possibly can. He is your typical pit in that he is very loyal and loving towards his family. Though he weighs 65 pounds, he thinks he is a lap dog. He is neutered and up date on all his shots and monthly heartworm medicine. Though sometimes stubborn, he is good listener and will even give you a kiss upon request. If you would like to meet him, please go to our website to fill out an adoption application and read about our adoption process. www.furkidrescue.org
THANK YOU TO ABBY NICKERSON FOR SPONSORING HIS ADOPTION FEE, THAT MEANS HE IS FREE TO AN APPROVED HOME!

About Furkid Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Furkid Rescue is a small, private home-based rescue located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We officially started our organized rescue efforts in the spring of 2008, but have been rescuing and working with other rescue groups and local shelters for over 5 years. We take in mainly Pit Bull puppies who have been rescued from gas kill pounds, animal control facilities, backyard breeders, or people who are no longer able to keep their pets. We rarely take in owner’s surrenders unless we find that the owner has a valid reason for abandoning the pet. Furkid Rescue will also save other breeds when there is room in one of our breed-experienced foster homes. You may see mastiffs, chihuahuas, or a fabulous mutt who needs a wonderful home! Please visit our main site to read more about our rescue, our adoption process, and to download an adoption application. www.furkidrescue.org

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a physical location. We try to give our animals the best foster experience possible, not only for their comfort, but to implement training and make sure they are getting the best care imaginable. Once you are approved for an meet and greet, we are more than willing to bring the dog to your home so that you can spend time with the dog(s) of your choice

Our Adoption Process...

There is always an adoption fee to cover medical expenses such as spay/neuter/shots/pound fees.
There is a home check and contract that is required to adopt a dog.
