My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Like many middle-aged cats who find themselves at the shelter, Annie is a bit withdrawn from the other shelter cats. She must have lived with people at some point in her life, as she doesn’t mind her volunteer companions, but venturing out of her cage is not something she's currently keen on doing. We can easily, and gently, take her out and put her in a safe, quiet place to observe the other cats playing and running around, but she is not yet inclined to join them. She seems to enjoy being held and brushed, and clings a bit to her humans. Something in this lady's life might have traumatized her a little, or perhaps she recently lost her beloved human companion and is heartbroken. Annie needs a special compassionate person to give her a home and a bit of patience. She is not at all feral, does not strike or bite, she is just timid and apprehensive, and not outgoing. Perhaps you can be Annie's angel, and give her a home, time and patience.

Annie is estimated to be 8 years old, is box-trained, spayed, current on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Adoption fee for adult cats is $50 (cash or check only, please).
