I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Calling large dog-lovers! Meet our handsome hunk, Buddy! Buddy is around 6 years old and appears to be a shepherd mix. He came to animal control with a collar embedded in his neck requiring surgical removal. He's healing up nicely and he's a really good boy who loves being around people. He gets along well with the resident dog in his foster home and we've seen him playing wonderfully with a 3 month old puppy much smaller than he. Buddy is also fine with kids (a few kids have gone in for the hug and Buddy loved it!). While he has plenty of energy to keep his owner active, he sleeps quietly in his crate at night, chills nicely and is a pleasure to be with. Buddy is potty-trained, but it appears that nobody taught him how to walk on leash or any basic commands - these basics are now being addressed in his foster home. Anyone adopting Buddy should not only want a snuggle buddy, 'cause he's one of those dogs that loves physical contact (he'll lay across your lap if you let him), but should also be committed to his continued training so you can enjoy the unfolding of a beautiful dog both inside and out. Buddy tends to get excited on walks when he sees other dogs, but is learning that "Calm" is what is going to win hearts and influence people. You can see how well Buddy is doing in his YouTube video clip.
Buddy's adoption fee of $250 includes: vet exam, heart worm test (neg.), distemper, bordetella and rabies vaccinations, deworming, flea control, dental cleaning and neuter.
