found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Shelby is a 6 month old girl who, through no fault of her own, finds herself in need of a home. A friend of the rescue called us and explained Shelby's situation to us. Here's what happened, and it happns way too often...
Boy meets puppy, boy falls in love with the irresistible cuteness of puppy. Boy goes to bank and gets money and buys puppy from a breeder. Boy promises to love her forever and ever. Six months later, boy realizes that he didn't reseach the kind of dog he purchased. Boy does not have time for a high energy puppy, puppy begins to outsmart boy. Boy remembers that he has a distant Aunt Ethel who had a farm. Puppy would be happier on the farm, right? Boy drops off un vetted, unspayed, puppy at his sweet Aunt Ethel's home. Aunt Ethel loves this puppy but she does not have a fenced in yard, or the income to properly vet puppy. Aunt Ethel's good friend, Betty, catches wind of the situation and is mad. Poor Ethel, with her golden heart has not gotten herself into a pickle. Betty calls rescue, rescue picks up puppy, promises to vet and find a home where puppy will actually be loved forever.
So that's Shelby's first 6 months in a nutshell. Shelby has no been fully vetted and is living in a foster home. Her adoption fee is $500 and includes all her vaccinations, heart worm, flea and tick preventative, spay surgery, microchip, health certificate and transportation from Memphis to your area upon adoption.
