My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jasmine. We pulled Jasmine from a kill shelter in Tennessee. Animal Control had to take her away from her owner due to neglect. Jasmine was not the only one, there were at least 7 other dogs that came to the kill shelter from the same residence. Five of the seven were adopted or pulled by other rescues, this left Jasmine and Fritos. We also have Fritos and you can find his listing on adopt-a-pet as well. Jasmine's birthday is estimated to be 12/11/13 which makes her around a year and a half years old. She is a Dachshund mix weighing around 18 lbs.

Her foster mom says she is as gentle as a lamb. She loves to be held and petted. She is very shy to new people and still cowers when you go to pick her up. This is most likely due to the abuse she endured in her previous life. She will go potty outside. Her foster mom puts her on a lead and tells her to go potty and she does. It may take her a few minutes so patience is needed. She loves to play with other dogs. Jasmine needs a family willing to give her time to adjust as once abused it is hard for these dogs to trust again. This is very understandable. If you have ever loved a dog from an abusive previous life the love they have to offer back once they trust you is like no other love. Jasmine is not broken she just needs to be loved. She needs reassurance that not all humans are bad and that she is safe. She is such a pretty girl. She is like her foster mom said, shy. When we took her pictures all she wanted to do was sit in my lap. She wanted to be close. She needed to feel safe. We could not get her to untuck her ears for us. She has the cutest ears. If you have love and patience in your heart to give Jasmine, we promise, you won’t regret it. She has so much to offer if you will just give her a chance to show you. Jasmine was very timid when we pulled him from the kill shelter. She has come a long way. It may take her time to adjust when she gets to her new home. This is normal. She came from a not so good life. She lived outside with little to no attention and she didn't even know what love was until we saved her. She now knows love, endless food and lives indoors like she should have been all along. Her foster mom has 3 small breed dogs of her own as well as a large lab inside and Jasmine has been living with them while she received all her vetting. She loves her foster mom very much and will love you to.

Jasmine is up to date on her vaccinations, spayed, heart worm negative and on monthly preventatives. Her foster mom says that she does well with her 3 year old grandson. She does not have a cat so she has not been cat tested but we can test if needed. If you would like to give Jasmine her forever home and be loved by her for the rest of her life, please consider adopting her. Her adoption fee is $400.
