Fifi is a sweet young gal who we actually met prior to her stay at Chicago Animal Care and Control – two young boys brought her into our vet as a stray, and we fell for her right away! However, since NLOL is not a full-access shelter like ACC and is not licensed to take strays, we took her down there to see if she could find her owner. (We never want to run the risk of adopting out someone’s dog.) After the requisite five-day stray hold, we found out that she had not been picked up so we went and transferred her ourselves! When we first met her, we commented on how similar she looked to NLOL alum Flo and current NLOL pup Ophelia - we joked that if these two girls had had puppies, they would look like this little stray, so we started calling her Flophelia. Once she became our dog, we decided to shorten her name to Fifi so as not to cause confusion with still-adoptable Ophelia!
This adorably squishy pup is learning the ropes nicely and will be a great fit for just about any kind of family. Fifi is very smart and is learning obedience commands at a rapid rate, but would still benefit from a basic obedience course. She is currently staying in a boarding facility where she gets to play with other dogs all the time, but would do great in a home with or without other dogs as long as she gets lots of exercise! She is an adolescent and has the attitude to prove it (and the canine acne!) but calms down nicely when asked. This is a prize pup and whoever adopts her will be quite lucky!
