Ebony's Story...
MY ADOPTION FEE HAS BEEN PAID BY A DONOR. PLEASE COME MEET ME!

My name is Ebony. I am a Domestic Short Hair kitty about 7 years old. My brother McKnight and I were living on the streets as stray kittens. We tried to keep up with our Mama but for some reason she just disappeared. McKnight and I struggled with finding food near the busy road we called home. Luckily a compassionate human found us and brought us here to CARA. We've been here for a while, happy to have the TLC and safety we needed. Recently my brother passed away unexpectedly and now I am here feeling terribly alone as its impossible to replace him and the bond we shared. They say I am shy but sweet as sugar. I still have hope that some wonderful family will come and see me as their perfect kitty.

If you are interest in adopting this pet, please visit our website for information on our Adoption Process and to fill out our online adoption application at: CARA's Adoption Process and Online Application.

Ebony is spayed and current on vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ebony, a Jackson Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Jackson, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Jackson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jackson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jackson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jackson paves the way for another one to be saved.
