Jessie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Jessie's Story...
Jessie is one year old and 55 pounds. She was rescued in Saratoga Springs, NY and brought to ARF via the volunteer transport. Jessie is a bright, energetic young girl who loves to walk on her leash and play ball or fetch the stick. She has good agility skills and is learning to jump hurdles here at the shelter. She is a couch dog too-- and prefers to perch on a bench or sit next to you on the couch. Although she might be too energetic for small children or toddlers, she is the perfect dog for an active family or owner who would like to walk her twice a day and lead her in back yard games. Won't you come in and meet Jessie?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jessie, a Beacon Australian Shepherd/Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Rottweiler for sale in Beacon, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Beacon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Beacon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Beacon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Rottweiler breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Beacon paves the way for another one to be saved.
