Celia's Story...
Celia is a sweet girl who managed to keep her cool during our hectic monthly spay day when she arrived 7/14. This pretty girl was an area stray who has gone unclaimed and it is presumed her family has moved away and left her behind. Estimated to be 3 years old, she has now been updated on all her vet care and is available for adoption. We don't yet know how she is with other cats or children or dogs. She seems to be very happy to have attention from our adult volunteers.

To apply for a cat or kitten, please fill out our Cat and Kitten Adoption Application: http://www.medfieldshelter.com/cat_applications/new

The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers and all visits to the Shelter must be scheduled in advance to insure one of our volunteers is at the shelter to meet you. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $125. Our kitten adoption fee (cats up to 6 months old) is $160 for a single kitten or $260 for a pair. The adoption fee includes the first set of vaccines, dewormer, combo testing and spaying/neutering when old enough.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Celia, a Medfield Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Medfield, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Medfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
