Sophia's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Sophia's Story...
Sophia #3254 is a 1-year-old female, Shepherd mix. She adores sun bathing and relaxing outside in the grass. This girl is energetic and would be great company on long walks or hikes. She is good with other dogs and seems fine with cats. Her former foster mom reports she was good with her kids and she is housebroken. Sophia is fully kennel and leash trained. She is full grown and weighs 35 pounds. We believe you can always teach and “old” dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: http://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoptus.html and return it per instructions. Email dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with questions. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for adoption event locations and updates: www.facebook.com/lcarmd.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophia, a Waldorf Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
