Sydney's Story...
Sydney #3256 is a 1-year-old female, Collie mix. This sweetheart is a very gentle girl. She loves to play outside with her toys and will make a perfect exercise partner. She is very smart and knows a few basic commands. She is kennel and leash trained. Sydney is good with other dogs. She is full grown at 30 pounds. We believe you can always teach and “old” dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: and return it per instructions. Email with questions. This pup should be available for adoption at our PUPPYPALOOZA event at the Columbia PetSmart on Saturday, July 18 from noon - 4 p.m. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for adoption event locations and updates:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sydney, a Waldorf Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Collie puppy from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
