Ruby's Story...
Ruby is a very sweet, beautiful, curious and independent little girl. She’s been around small dogs her whole life and would do fine in a home by herself or with another kitty friend. She’s had a rough life outdoors, and would enjoy becoming part of a family that will let her enjoy the air conditioning in the summer and the heat in the winter, fresh water, and a bowl of fresh food every day. She has been fending for herself and deserves the good life. She is very curious and cautious about everything and even though she’s been a mother, twice, she still acts like a kitten sometimes! She is currently fostered in Huntsville, AL. Please complete an application online at http://forrescue.net/cat-application/ All of our cats are in foster homes, felv/fiv negative, up to date on vaccines, spay/neutered, micro-chipped and treated by a vet for any signs of neglect. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $25 and all applications are reviewed in the order they are received so fill out your app today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruby, a Chattanooga Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
