Misty's Story...
Misty found herself all alone at the humane society, but wasn't big enough to go up for adoption quite yet. Luckily, she was placed in a foster home with 4 other kittens. She was a little hesitant at first, she just wanted to find places to hide. Slowly, she began to realize that the other kittens looked like they were having fun, and she wanted to join too! She is very curious and loves exploring. Toys are still a new concept for her, she's just not sure what to do with them! Misty is still hesitant around the two pups in the foster home, so if she lives with dogs, she'll need a slow introduction. She needs to go home with a foster sibling or another kitten, as she is still shy and having a feline friend will help bring her out of her shell. Cats can live to be 15-20 years old, so Misty and her siblings are looking for a family in it for the long haul. She can live with older kids, but don't expect her to sit still and be held for long. If you are interested in Misty and one of her siblings, please ask the front desk for an application so you can spend time with them today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty, a Bellingham Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
