Hi my name is Karlee I am a fun loving girl that loves the wadding pool, getting attention and YOU, I love YOU. I have not met many strangers I mean some of you humans are stranger then others but as long as you pet me I am all good. I get along well with the other dogs here at the rescue, but sometimes I am not the best fit with other bossy female dogs, some of them are just B**ches if you know what I mean . I was found roaming the streets and my owners didn't find me and I landed at this rescue place, I thought I was just going to hang for a bit and someone would come and snatch up my awesome face, but nope still here waiting on you to come and adopt me, what is taking you so long? . It's unknown if I had poor fences or just good husky skills, they have things kinda on lock down here at the rescue... but I have to admit I have given them the slip before also so my husky skills are pretty slick. So not leaving me outside unsupervised and a secure yard is a must, a electric hot wire would make it so I could hang outside and not be as prone to escape I am trained to one here at the rescue so it's a easy adjustment. I don't mind my kennel but have not had to be in one long.. Also I have put on a few pounds eating my sadness about not having a family of my own and could use a new friend to take me jogging or hiking.. Do you want to be my new buddy? I have been waiting awhile for someone to love me..
All of our Husky/Northern breeds require a home visit for us to check out the fence and give tips on containment if needed. You can quicken your adoption process by sending us some yard pics, focusing on the fence lines after you send your application.
Please keep in mind if you want to own a husky you need to be open to the fact that containing this dog may require you to install a hot wire system(cost approx $100) this is quite often needed to preventing digging climbing or chewing through fences. A Hot wire is typically the best route to start with for a piece of mind. Some of our dogs we will require this prior to adoption due to known escape habits or the type of fencing you have. Installation is simple and can be done in under 2 hours on most yards.
Northern breeds are beautiful dogs but are also a challenge and demanding and can be very destructive and hard to contain when there needs are not met. Please learn a little more about the breed on our home page. Also we likely have other Huskies or Malamutes for adoption find out by visiting www.petangelsrescue.org.
The adoption fee is $150. This dog has had its age appropriate Vaccinations brought up to date with Rabies shot (4 m & older), heartworm tested (4 m & older) and/or started on prevention, basic dewormer, spayed or neutered and microchipped by 24Petwatch with free registration , and also comes with 30 days of free 24Petwatch Pet Insurance .
