Facts about Corrie

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: C2015116
  • Hair: Short
was found living over a month in a culvert. I am very sweet and calm and polite and I love receiving attention and I like to talk and purr like a motor boat. I am very easy to take care of. I don't like sitting on a lap or being picked up and held (maybe because I'm not used to it). At some point in my past, I received a terrible blow to my chest that broke my breastbone. The doctor said it's healed okay but I have a bone permanently out of place and maybe that's why I don't like being handled.
I am FIV+, but unlike Feline Leukemia, I may live a long normal life. My adopter must be committed to monitoring my health. I should live inside in a quiet, stress-free home without young active children or dogs and no other cats to reduce my exposure to infectious agents carried by other animals.
My foster doesn't know if I've been spayed. Because spay surgery is the only way to find out if a cat is already spayed, and because I'm FIV+, my foster has opted to monitor my behavior and avoid surgery if it is not needed. My adopter must be committed to spaying me if in the future I go into heat.Interested in adopting a companion dog or cat from Texas Animal Society?

About Texas Animal Society

About Our Rescue Group...

Our goal is to promote the health and care of pets in your community through involvement, education and prevention (spay/neuter), to give a voice to the animals in need and to provide a means for others to help in the plight of dogs and cats in need of assistance, care and homes. Through the means of rescue, volunteering and fostering we can help accomplish the ultimate goal of providing quality care and humane livelihood for dogs and cats in Texas. We strive to work with individuals, county facilities, other rescues and local communities.

Founded in 2011 as MCASociety to support our local animal shelter, we soon learned we should strive to do more and rebranded to Texas Animal Society. Reaching beyond our local shelter to help the community and others as well as our shelter.

TAS is strictly operated by donations. All donations directly benefit animal welfare and care of dogs and cats.
Please consider donating to TAS for the continued rescue efforts and vetting for dogs and cats in need.
