I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Snoopy's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Snoopy's Story...
Do you like Peanuts? I like peanuts, and food in general, really. I am not too active, and you could describe my body type as 'more cushion for the petting'. Sure, I should probably go for more walks and try to live a more active lifestyle, but I didn't really have that opportunity in my former home. I am quite friendly, but if there are going to be kids in my new family they should be 8+ and really need to be respectful and polite to me. I get along with other dogs very well, and cats don't bother me none. My crate training has been going very well, and if I am kept on a proper schedule my house training is pretty solid too! I am just bursting at the seams with love to give. Be gentle and sweet to me, just help me stay away from the sweet treats.

7 1/2 years old-40lbs. My adoption fee is $120 and includes neuter, microchip, reduced-cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Snoopy, a Portland Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Portland, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
